What happens

Walter Carlton, a quiet man, stages a plan against Martin Ross, a district attorney who once wronged him. Walter moves his family to a rural house and openly threatens Martin, who has been building a murder case against John Swenson, a janitor who found the body of Todd Blake. Walter has cruel control over Martin and Emily Ross, and tension rises as the two men's history comes to light. Walter's role in the death of Blake and the danger to the household grow clearer as the household is tested by fear, threats and intimidation. Suspense is a radio series, and this episode first aired on January 24, 1960.

A rural house about 40 miles from the city, and the district attorney's office in town.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
