What happens

Sally Summers, a screenwriter, learns that her younger actor husband Chris has been unfaithful and is leaving her, and she is overwhelmed by rage. Years on, she is discharged, and a story editor named Philip Lewis meets an old acquaintance named Jane Winters, who arrives at his office carrying a bottle of acid and begins telling him a story about Sally. Joan Crawford stars in this production of Suspense, which aired on March 22, 1951, on CBS.

Hollywood, California, in the late 1940s and early 1950s, including a hillside house, a film studio, a shop selling artist supplies, and an asylum.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
