What happens

Dr. Carl Blair and his wife Lisa live on a remote South Pacific island, where Carl devotes long hours to his medical research while Lisa grows restless and bored. Their house boy Luelli watches the strain grow between them. When Captain Terry Burke sails into the lagoon, he soon becomes a dinner guest and Lisa's attention turns toward him. Lisa is drawn to the captain's bold, self-assured manner, and a typhoon approaches the island. This episode is from the Suspense series, first broadcast on April 14, 1957, and is adapted from a story by Richard Wiel, with Victor Jory in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
