What happens
Dr. Carlos Sloan, a scientist at Cape Canaveral, is working on a transmitter designed to broadcast endlessly from a satellite. Haunted by memories of wartime London, he is visited by the ghost of a soldier named Batchner, who urges him to change the message the transmitter will send. Dr. Sloan records a plea against killing, and then races to the launch site to get it aboard the missile before the countdown ends. Starring Everett Sloan, this episode of Suspense was first broadcast on August 3, 1958.

Listen for: Batchner's message from the wartime past and the recording Dr. Sloan makes for the transmitter
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
