What happens

Adano Gaspar, a Florida Keys man who claims descent from the pirate Don Jose, learns from an old rhyme where his ancestor's buried treasure might lie. He rents a cottage on a Massachusetts island called Sprague Spit and secretly digs for the chest. A suspicious local police chief visits him, and an unexpected body turns up in the hole. Adano is then confronted by two men who take charge of the treasure. Suspense, the CBS radio drama series, presents this February 4, 1952 episode starring J. Carol Nash.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
