What happens
Tommy Cochran wakes with a hazy memory of a party and finds blood on his shirt and a closet key in his pocket. His brother-in-law, police detective Danny, helps him retrace the night, from a café called Joe's place to a party at the Sorrels' apartment. Tommy is drawn to a radio playing in the apartment, and the music he hears there leads the two men toward a hotel room. The episode is part of the Suspense series, first broadcast on November 2, 1944, starring Van Johnson.
A city in the 1940s, including a café, an apartment, a silver slipper nightspot, and a hotel.

Listen for: Listen for the singing walls, the music that gives the story its title, and the key in Tommy's pocket.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
