What happens
Composer Henri Lefèvre is startled when a radio plays a piece of music he has just finished writing, note for note, and the station credits it to a composer named R. Ray LaFèvre. He seeks out his publisher and learns that the composer is still alive but has been silent for years. Madame Lefèvre arrives and describes her husband's old Elegy for Orchestra and the grief that surrounded it. Paul Muni stars in this episode of the CBS series Suspense, written by Lucille Fletcher and sponsored by Roma Wines. The transcript ends partway through the story, before its full resolution.

Characters: Henri Lefèvre, Suzanne, Adolphus, Monsieur Pica, Cécile Lefèvre, Louise
Listen for: The moment the radio plays Lefèvre's unfinished Elegy for Orchestra, and his mounting disbelief as the musical details match.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
