What happens
Captain William Bligh and the loyal men set adrift by mutineers in an open launch face hunger, thirst and hostile islanders as they attempt a voyage of thousands of miles. Charles Laughton stars in this Suspense episode, broadcast on May 17, 1954, which draws on court records and the diary of a naval officer. Bligh holds his small crew together through harsh rationing, quarrels with the seaman Hall, and a dangerous landing on an island where natives attack them. The men argue over whether to go on or stay ashore, and Bligh insists on maintaining discipline and pressing toward the Dutch settlement on Timor.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
