What happens

Dr. Henry Armitage and Dr. Warren Rice broadcast from a laboratory on Sentinel Hill near Dunwich, Massachusetts, on Halloween night, attempting to make a horror they have witnessed believable to listeners. Armitage recounts the strange events surrounding Wilbur Waitley, born in 1921 to the albino Lavinia Waitley in a remote farmhouse. Raised under the influence of his grandfather, Old Wizard Waitley, Wilbur grows unnaturally fast and seeks a passage from a forbidden book in the university library. Armitage tells of the dying grandfather's mutterings, the sealed house, and the missing cattle, then of Wilbur's death and the disturbing creature that remained. The broadcast reaches the present, with the creature loose across the township and the two doctors preparing a final attempt to stop it.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
