What happens

At a Saturday night party in Westchester, Liz Hunt grows suspicious that her husband Max is involved with Edith Elwood, a woman from his advertising firm. Max offers Edith a ride home, and Liz insists on coming along. On a narrow, rain-slicked road, the car goes off a bridge and hangs above the river, with Liz, Max and Edith trapped inside. The episode is part of the Suspense radio series and aired on August 17, 1958, starring Kathy Lewis.

Westchester, a suburban party and a narrow country road with a bridge over a river, on a rainy night

Listen for: The tension as the car hangs over the river and the three passengers try to escape before the car falls

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
