What happens

Newlyweds Tom and Lucy Courtney travel to the island of Capri for their honeymoon. During a stop at the Blue Grotto, a local boatman tells them a frightening story about a young bride who vanished from a balcony there years earlier. Once they reach their rented villa, Lucy's resemblance to that missing woman begins to unsettle everyone around them, and Tom grows increasingly alarmed. Their American acquaintance Harry Granger, the neighbouring Dr. Davis and the Countess Nelly Lecassse all have a part in the events that follow. This episode of Suspense, a CBS series of mystery and adventure, was broadcast on December 1, 1942, and the story is adapted from John Dixon Carr's work.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
