What happens

In 1832 London, Matt Paterson and his cousin Robert, body snatchers working for the old woman Mother Slade, rob a fresh grave to supply a surgeon. Their attempt is interrupted in the churchyard and they flee, then bring a corpse to the house, hoping to sell it to Dr. George Arnold. Dr. Arnold is a respectable anatomy lecturer who must buy bodies to keep teaching. The story follows the uneasy dealings in the dim sitting room, where the price is argued and the danger to the doctor's household grows. This is the Suspense series, and the episode was first broadcast on November 24, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
