What happens

Frank Wineglass, president of a figure-model firm, is drawn toward a sinister impulse he thinks of as a personal Satan. When his partner Harry Feeney is pressed by Diane Rodell, the firm's model, for money under threat of blackmail, Frank begins to plot against her. The story follows his scheming against Diane and Harry, and the strain it places on his relationship with his adopted son Doug, who wants to marry Diane. This is the Suspense episode Sold to Satan, broadcast on August 27, 1961, adapted by Joseph Cochran from a short story by Jules Archer and starring Kermit Murdock.

Listen for: Frank's internal voice of Satan urging him toward his schemes, and the escalating blackmail between Diane and Harry.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
