What happens

Danny Connor, a former flyer, is hired to pilot a seaplane for Wendell H. Davis, who claims his Intercontinental Salvage Corporation is hunting sunken Spanish gold. Connor is suspicious of Davis, his crew, and the leaking old salvage ship, and he distrusts Davis's wife Gloria, who arranged the job. Aboard, Connor finds the frightened radio operator Scotty sending false coordinates, and the tension between the passengers and Connor grows as the voyage moves away from the agreed route. The trip is underway and the motives of everyone aboard remain unsettled. Suspense is an old-time radio drama series, and this episode aired on April 6, 1950. Van Johnson stars in the story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
