The episode is the Suspense play Six Feet Under, broadcast on April 13, 1950, starring Dan Daley.

A traveling carnival midway in the late 1940s, with a sideshow tent where Jack is buried alive each day.

Characters: Jack Dolan, Miriam, Cliff, Bonnie, Annie

Listen for: The air pump that keeps Jack alive in the buried box, and the buzzer that is supposed to signal him from above.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
