What happens
Tony and Gwen are stranded in a snowstorm on an Alpine pass while driving to Paris for Christmas. They reach a small inn on the avalanche-prone slopes, where the innkeeper Helander and a small group of guests take them in. Tony's wife Gwen grows uneasy, and Tony, a writer, half-hopes that his restless feeling about the place is only the result of nerves. Outside, the sun breaks through, a slope across the valley avalanches, and an American Army courier arrives. Suspense is the CBS radio series, and this episode, Premonition, first aired on 1954-12-23 with Lawrence Dobkin as Tony and Charlotte Lawrence as Gwen. The account ends before the outcome of the story is known.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
