What happens

Commissioner Walter Wollcheck is confronted in his twenty-first floor office by two hard-eyed men, the small, shifty Granite and the huge, slow Bruzy, who demand that he keep taking part in the corruption they run. They threaten to push him from the window and make his death look like a fall. Wollcheck tries to bargain with them, and the story moves between his office, the street and a hotel-like scene of emotional manipulation. The episode is part of the Suspense series, with the play written by William N. Robeson. The cast is listed as Santos Ortega, Jane Hossack and Ginger Jones, among others.

A metropolitan office building, twenty-first floor, and the city streets around it

Characters: Commissioner Walter Wollcheck, Granite, Bruzy, Jessica, Nellie

Listen for: The exchange in the office as Granite and Bruzy press Wollcheck, and the later conversation with his wife Nellie

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
