What happens
Henry Travers, an assistant bank manager awaiting a promotion, is confronted on his morning commute by a stranger who claims to be planning a scheme against him. Jason Collins, working with a woman posing as Shirley Brisbane, has been watching Travers' routine closely. Travers is told his wife Elizabeth is at risk unless he produces $50,000 from the bank within a short deadline. Travers must decide whether to comply while the bank's officers, including Mr. Cromwell, begin to notice his unusual behaviour. The episode is part of the Suspense series, first broadcast on May 29, 1960, and the account stops before the outcome of the scheme is settled.
A suburban home and a city bank in the morning, with later scenes at a police precinct and a courtroom.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
