What happens

Larry King, a three-time loser wanted for a fourth charge, flees New York with money from his former wife Julia, who helps him escape by boat to South America. After a Honduran port and a long voyage, Lieutenant Sanders of the New York police tracks him down and takes him back aboard a freighter, the SS Port Royal. Handcuffed to his prisoner, Sanders is caught in a sinking ship and the two men are trapped in a cabin under water. Their escape is harrowing and the ship rises to the surface. Larry tells his story from there.

New York City's west side near the docks, a Honduran port, a freighter bound for New York through the Windward Passage, and a sinking ship near the Bahamas.

Characters: Larry King, Julia, Lieutenant Sanders, Charles Riker, John Warby

Listen for: The sound of water and air bubbling as the sinking ship rises toward the surface.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
