What happens
Harry Blake, a taxi driver, finds a wallet stuffed with $12,000 in his cab and takes it home to his wife, Helen. Their argument over whether to return the money escalates as Helen pushes him toward keeping it, then toward a far darker choice. Harry struggles with his own nerve and his loyalty to her as the clock runs down toward the time when the wallet's owner, Sidney Walker, will broadcast his nightly program. This is the Suspense episode Love, Honor or Murder, first broadcast on August 9, 1955, with Michael Lawrence and William Conrad in the leading roles.
A cramped apartment and the streets of a city, with a taxi cab and a radio station on Sixth Avenue
Characters: Harry Blake, Helen, Sidney Walker, Alice
Listen for: Harry's growing hesitation as Helen's pressure builds, and the ticking clock as the broadcast approaches
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
