What happens

Dandy DeAngelo, a dapper gambler in Chicago, owes a thousand dollars to the crime boss Bigelow after a bet went bad. Bigelow's men are waiting for him in his hotel room, and when they seize him and drive him toward the forest preserve, Dandy tries to escape and make for the police station. Cornered in a narrow alley behind a restaurant, he hides among the garbage cans while two men close in with guns. This is part of Suspense, an episode from May 13, 1962, starring Jackson Beck and William Redfield, written by Bob Corcoran.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
