What happens
In 1900 Amanda Peabody, newly arrived in Pilotsville, is courted by Theodore Evans, a wealthy widower with a house built around a pipe organ. His two young children are convinced their dead mother's spirit is trapped in the organ pipes, and their unease unsettles Amanda. As the household grows tense, Amanda's own motives and suspicions come under strain while the strange sounds from the organ continue. Lucille Fletcher's play is performed on the Suspense series, broadcast in 1944, with Ida Lupino and Vincent Price in the leading roles.

Listen for: The eerie sounds of the pipe organ playing on its own, and the children's fear of their mother's spirit in the pipes.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
