What happens
Pastor James Hotchkiss meets his old friend Victor Frankenstein, who confesses that he has assembled a complete human body in his locked laboratory and believes he has brought it to life. Victor is uneasy about what he has done and asks James to keep his secret, while James struggles with the moral weight of the confession. Victor shows James the creature, which moves under a stimulant. Victor's fiancee Elizabeth is away, and a storm builds as the two men grapple with what the experiment means for them and for the village. The episode is from the series Suspense, first broadcast on June 7, 1955, and presented in a radio adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel. The story has not yet reached its outcome in this part.

Characters: Victor Frankenstein, James Hotchkiss, Elizabeth
Listen for: Victor's confession to James in the walk outside, and the first scene in the laboratory where the creature stirs.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
