What happens

At home his wife Ruth and their two sons, Hap and Petey, have breakfast before he leaves. Later Petey claims that his brother and a neighbor's daughter have climbed aboard the drone, and the family must learn whether the boys are really aboard as the test begins. The story is told in an episode of Suspense, the CBS radio drama series, first broadcast on November 3, 1957, starring Ruth Hussey.

Listen for: Petey's claim that his brother and Cathy climbed into the drone, and the radio exchange between Don Cameron and Mark as the test begins.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
