What happens

Dr. Patrick Corey, a brilliant but obsessive scientist, keeps the brain of a dying financier, William Donovan, alive in his laboratory after a plane crash. His son David and his wife Janice have grown alarmed at how his work is consuming him. Corey believes the brain is communicating with him, and his wife becomes convinced he has done something terribly wrong. This episode of the Suspense series, with John McIntyre in the lead, broadcast on February 7, 1948, sets up the premise through the scientist's own casebook entries and the conflict that follows at home.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
