What happens
Bricky Coleman, a New York taxi dancer from Glen Falls, Iowa, meets Quinn Williams, a young man from her hometown who has just broken into a New York apartment. The two discover they grew up across the street from each other, and Quinn confesses he took cash from a safe he found while working as an electrician. Hoping to return the money before the owner, Mr. Graves, comes home, they go to the house together and find Graves dead in his study. They search the body and the room for clues about who else was there and begin piecing together a visitor's identity, while the dawn deadline for a bus home draws near. The story is presented on the Suspense radio series, first broadcast May 15, 1948, starring Helen Walker and John Beal.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
