The transcript here covers the early part of the story, with the young couple struggling to decide what to do.

Santa Monica and Los Angeles, California, in the 1940s

Characters: Jimmy Barton, Helen Barton, Phil Armstrong, Mrs. Gordon, Red Davis

Listen for: Jimmy discovering the dead man in the apartment and the tense scene where Mrs. Gordon arrives at the door while the body is still inside.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
