What happens
Ernest Bowers, a man who suffers from catalepsy, collapses after being struck by a car at a city intersection. Officer Abbott and bystanders gather around him while he appears dead, though a note in his jacket and a silver bracelet say he is not. Two boys find the bracelet and sell it to a jeweler, and a second-hand dealer, Honest Jerry Murdoch, sells the bloodstained jacket to Henry Prince. Henry's wife Frances grows uneasy about the letter inside and tries to reach Ernest's wife. The story is told in the Suspense series, broadcast on CBS in 1949, with Pat O'Brien in the lead role.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
