What happens

On the night the liner Moravania leaves New York for Europe, a young bride named Anne Brewster boards with her new husband, Richard Brewster, and is given cabin B-13. When she mentions the number to the ship's doctor, Dr. Paul Henry, she is told that no such cabin exists aboard the ship. Anne insists she saw it, and her husband seems to have vanished. Ship's officers, including the second officer Mr. Marshall, deny that he ever came aboard with her. Anne grows increasingly distraught as the ship moves through fog. This Suspense drama by John Dixon Carr stars Margot as Anne and Philip Dawn as Dr. Henry, and is broadcast on Columbia's Suspense series, original air date November 9, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
