What happens

Jerry Wheeler's sister, Angel Face, is pulled into a murder case when her brother Chick is arrested for the death of burlesque star Ruby Rose Reading. Chick is accused of strangling Ruby in her apartment after she had been seeing him, and Angel Face doubts his guilt. She begins her own inquiries, questioning the missing maid and following leads that point toward Ruby's associates. Detective Nick Burns is involved in the case, and Angel Face becomes unsure whom she can trust. The story is told in the Suspense series, broadcast on May 18, 1950, with Claire Trevor as Angel Face.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
