This is an episode of Suspense, broadcast on October 10, 1946, with John Lund and Kathy Lewis in the leading roles, and the story is framed by a dying man's account to the police.

A ranch in a California valley, and a desert hotel and airfield in Phoenix, Arizona.

Characters: Randy Judson, Marion Dunham, Ed Dunham, Dorothy

Listen for: Randy's account to the police, which opens the episode, and the scene in which Marion first proposes that her husband must die.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
