What happens

Laura Starling Morton, a former laboratory technician, has been acquitted of murdering her first husband, and she later marries the research chemist Charles Morton. Charles's brother Elmer, the same man who once pursued her for her first husband's death, returns to town and arrives unannounced at the household. Elmer pressures Laura to change Charles's will in his favor, and the tension between the three of them grows. The story is told through a written statement that Laura leaves behind. This is a Suspense radio play from October 3, 1946, starring Rita Hayworth as Laura and Hans Conried as Elmer.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
