What happens

Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are on vacation at the Botlet Logging Camp when they are drawn into its troubles. Fred Harmon, the camp boss, has been stealing company money and creating a reign of terror to keep visitors away. After Harmon's confession and death, Kent and Jimmy set off on a dog sled trip into Canada with a guide named Batiste. That evening they make camp by a large fire and listen to Batiste's tall stories. Unknown to them, watchers in the nearby forest are planning to put out their fire before a midnight shipment is dropped.

A logging camp in the North woods and a forest campsite in Canada, in winter

Listen for: Batiste's tall stories around the campfire, and the men who approach the campsite after nine o'clock

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
