What happens

Clark Kent and Father Malone, a priest in the Northwoods, confront the mysteries at the Bouchelet logging camp, where five lumberjacks have died and a legend of the white plague has terrified the crew. Clark claims he knows who is responsible and gathers the camp manager, Fred Harmon, and foreman Bill Dawson in the camp office to lay out his reasoning step by step. Clark walks through the deaths, the disappearances in the snow, and the fire in a nearby cabin, while the men react with suspicion and disbelief. Tension rises as the accusations are pressed and the men weigh the evidence. The episode is the eighth part of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on July 9, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
