What happens
Superman, disguised as reporter Clark Kent, is at a northwoods logging camp where Jimmy Olsen and Nancy Harmon were found unconscious after a sleeping potion. A cabin catches fire with a man trapped inside, and Kent rushes in to rescue him. Afterward, Kent and Father Malone are left to examine the blaze, and Dawson, the camp foreman, is blamed for the fire. The loggers grow frightened of a legend called the white plague, and Mr. Harmon struggles to keep the camp together while more deaths occur. Kent claims he knows who is responsible. The series is The Adventures of Superman, first aired on July 7, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
