What happens
Clark Kent, acting as Superman, rescues Nancy Harmon and Jimmy Olsen from a cabin in the woods and brings them back to a northwoods logging camp, where Nancy's father Fred Harmon is boss. The two are unconscious from a sleeping potion, and Father Malone, a local priest who also tends the sick, joins Kent by the fire. The men speak of the white plague legend, a string of strange deaths, a shot fired at Kent and Jimmy, and a giant white bird Fred Harmon claims to have seen. Kent then reveals that a logger was poisoned, and the talk turns to suspicion among the camp's men, with Bill Dawson growing defensive. The episode is the sixth part of the 1941 Superman serial as aired on July 4, 1941, and the story is cut off as a cabin catches fire.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
