What happens

Superman, the alter ego of reporter Clark Kent, goes after the vulture, a criminal mastermind who has captured Jimmy Olsen and kept him at his hideout. The vulture has mailed the Daily Planet a recording meant to make Clark Kent, Perry White and Lois Lane believe Jimmy is being tortured. Clark and Perry are distraught as they listen to it in the editor's office. The recording contains phrases spoken by Jimmy during an earlier conversation, which the vulture carefully arranged. Perry White begs Clark to stop the record, and the vulture's threat is made clear. Superman, who has his own powers, then appears on the trail, determined to find Jimmy. The Adventures of Superman is a radio serial, and this installment is part thirteen of the story The Tin Men. The original air date is January 20, 1943.
