What happens

Superman and the staff of the Daily Planet investigate after the model of Dr. Cameron's mechanical man vanishes from a locked vault at the Metropolis City Bank, leaving a wooden vulture carving in its place. Bank president Parsons and the policemen guarding the vault insist no one could have entered, but editor Perry White and Clark Kent suspect a trick. Their search of the bank's watchmen's quarters turns up a bound and gagged man hidden in a locker, showing that the night watchman who let them in was an impostor. The episode is part of the Adventures of Superman radio series, first broadcast on January 19, 1943, and the transcript covers only the early portion of the story.

Listen for: Parsons realizing that the night watchman who admitted them was an impostor, and the discovery of the bound man in the locker

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
