What happens
Dr. Leander Cameron has built a model of a mechanical man that can see, walk, talk and think for itself. A tall, sinister figure calling himself the Vulture, along with an impostor who looks and sounds like reporter Clark Kent, steals the model at gunpoint. Editor Perry White and Clark Kent go to the police, while Superman searches Dr. Cameron's laboratory and finds a button torn from an overcoat. Meanwhile the Vulture meets a buyer named Comora, who agrees to pay half a million dollars in cash for the model and gives him an hour to raise the money. The episode is part of the Superman radio series, first aired on January 13, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
