What happens
Dr. Leander Cameron, an eccentric scientist backed by the Daily Planet, has built a mechanical man that can see, walk, talk and think. Clark Kent and Lois Lane watch him test it successfully. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure named James Mansfield Blood, hired by Vaucher, plots to seize the invention for himself. Vaucher, a wealthy and fastidious man in an elegant penthouse, dismisses Blood and has him removed. When Clark Kent's visit to the laboratory is complete, a stranger in disguise holds Cameron and his assistant Nicodemus at gunpoint and demands the model. The episode is part six of the Adventures of Superman serial, broadcast on the radio in 1943, and was originally aired on January 11 of that year. Superman is the strange visitor from another world whose powers far exceed those of ordinary men.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
