What happens
Clark Kent and editor Perry White learn that Dr. Leander Cameron's model of a mechanical man has been stolen at gunpoint by a man impersonating Clark Kent. Dr. Cameron explains the robot can see, walk, talk and think for itself, and the thief, who calls himself the Vulture, has been seen with a tall, bird-like face. The police are called in. Meanwhile Superman searches the laboratory and finds a button torn from an overcoat, which points to an expensive clothing shop. The Vulture, meanwhile, negotiates a sale of the model to a representative of a foreign power for a large sum of cash, with a one-hour deadline. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman radio series, first broadcast on 1943-01-08.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
