What happens
Herbert Cawkins, a Scotland Yard detective, believes Clark Kent is really Superman and sets a trap for him. Cawkins and Lois Lane watch from a restaurant as Kent is locked inside a steel bank vault, expecting that his escape or his survival would reveal his true identity. Inside the vault, Kent manipulates the time clock to get out, and he is later found in distress. Cawkins remains convinced of his theory. The episode closes with Kent facing Cawkins in his apartment building lobby, while Lois has reminded Kent of a rally he promised to attend.
