What happens
Superman and Jimmy Olsen arrive too late at a shabby hotel room, where they find the taxi driver who vanished with editor Perry White dead, stabbed through the heart. Superman concludes that the killing is tied to efforts to sabotage the World Peace Federation. Elsewhere, Homer Smith, the representative of publisher John Grayson, confers with the wealthy munitions maker Rufus Pelley, who orders a series of anti-Federation editorials for the Daily Planet. Clark Kent learns that Smith has been cleared by police and is pressing the paper to print the editorial. The episode is from The Adventures of Superman, a radio series, and was first broadcast on August 9, 1946. The story continues from here.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
