What happens
Jimmy Olsen, a reporter for the Daily Planet, leaves home against Clark Kent's orders after receiving a late-night phone call from an unknown man claiming to have a message from the missing editor Perry White. Boris Archenko, the Planet's printing room foreman, follows him to the newspaper club, where no one can recall anyone waiting. Clark Kent meanwhile questions Mrs. Grayson about her husband, publisher John Grayson, who has left home and whose behaviour has been troubled lately. Jimmy and Boris then take a taxi, and the driver turns out to be a man Jimmy recognizes from the night White vanished. This is part four of The Adventures of Superman, a radio serial, first broadcast August 6, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
