What happens
Clark Kent tells editor Perry White and reporter Lois Lane the story of Krypton and the infant who arrived on Earth as Superman. He explains that a meteor fragment from Krypton, now locked in the Metropolis Museum vault, is deadly to Superman, and that the museum's curator, Dr. Whistler, has died. Clark asks for help destroying the fragment. That night Lois prints the story in an extra edition, against his wishes, and Clark is left uneasy. The scene then shifts to the Scarlet Widow, a gaunt woman in her apartment, who plans with her accomplice Snickers to obtain the meteor from the museum vault. The episode is part of the Adventures of Superman radio series, first broadcast on September 26, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
