What happens
Superman's companions Jimmy Olsen and Poco, the little man from Utopia, are stranded with Professor Timothy C. Twiddle in the professor's radar rocket, which has stopped in space after its radar beam was cut off. With only about 24 hours of oxygen, the professor brings two pigeons aboard, and Jimmy proposes sending messages back to Earth with them. The three write notes asking that the radar beam be restored, attach them to the birds with rubber bands, and release the pigeons through the rocket's door. Their fate is left uncertain as the pigeons fly off, while Superman prepares to investigate the professor's house on Winthrop Street.
Outer space above the Earth, inside a suspended radar rocket, with scenes at the Daily Planet and at Professor Twiddle's house in the city.

Listen for: The plan to send carrier pigeons back to Earth with written messages, and the question of whether they can reach the Earth 10,000 miles away.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
