What happens
Jimmy Olsen and Pogo join eccentric scientist Professor Timothy T. Twiddle on a trip to the moon in his radar rocket, a cigar-shaped metal capsule launched from the top floor of his house. Once airborne, Jimmy grows nervous as the professor's calm explanations fail to ease his fear. The rocket suddenly loses its radar beam and stops in space, leaving the travelers stranded and unable to move up or down. The professor warns that their oxygen will last only about 24 hours. Jimmy, Pogo and the professor are left stuck in the ionosphere as the situation grows more urgent. The series is The Adventures of Superman, and this part aired on February 18, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
