What happens
Jimmy Olsen, a reporter at the Daily Planet, is invited by the eccentric Poco to visit the laboratory of Professor Twiddle, inventor of a radar rocket. Jimmy has doubts about the professor's sanity after Clark Kent's warnings that people trying to reach the moon are crackpots. Professor Twiddle explains that his rocket will travel to the unknown far side of the moon at incredible speed. Despite his reservations, Jimmy agrees to board the craft with Poco, and the professor seals the door. The episode is from The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on February 15, 1946.
The Daily Planet city room, then a three-story brownstone in the city where Professor Twiddle keeps his secret laboratory and radar rocket.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
