What happens
Clark Kent, the reporter for the Daily Planet, and Captain Anderson's sister June Anderson look into a mining stock swindle linked to the North Star Mine. The captain's papers, recovered from the sea, show that two men, Pemberton and Deneen, sold shares in a worthless mine. Kent visits their house in Green Park and meets a Filipino houseboy who threatens him with a gun. Kent learns that Pemberton has used the name John Jay Jones and sent mail to Canyon City, Idaho. Kent, the captain and June then fly west by plane, and the story ends with the aircraft in trouble over the Rockies. The Adventures of Superman was an old-time radio series, and this episode is from March 1940.
