What happens
Jimmy Olsen and Beanie Martin, young helpers at the Daily Planet, are tied up and left in the locked office of a crooked song publishing company after going after $450 that Perry White's little cook had lost to racketeers. Their rope-bound struggle turns desperate when a dropped cigar starts a fire that spreads through the office building. Clark Kent, waiting anxiously at his desk, receives a call from Jimmy and realizes his friends are in danger. This episode from The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on December 13, 1946, is a continuation in its Phony Song Publishing Company storyline and is presented here from its opening portion.
A burning office building on Taylor Street in a city, and the Daily Planet newspaper office where Clark Kent waits for news.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
